Where We Install Floors Across Tarrant County
Twenty communities, working outward from Fort Worth. These are grouped by the ground they sit on rather than alphabetically, because that is the thing that actually changes our answer. The metroplex straddles a geological boundary: west and north of the Trinity is thin soil over limestone and slabs barely move, while east and south the Eagle Ford and Woodbine clays are strongly expansive. Two houses of the same age twelve miles apart need opposite work underneath the same floor.
Fort Worth Prairie
Shallow soil over Goodland and Walnut limestone, west and north of the Trinity. Slabs here move least of anywhere in the county, and preparation is usually grinding rather than a pour.
- Benbrook, TX Tarrant County · 76109 · 76116 · 76126 Prairie ground west of the Trinity, where slabs behave and the preparation line stays small.
- Saginaw, TX Tarrant County · 76179 A rail and light-industrial town on prairie ground, where residential and shop-floor work sit side by side.
- White Settlement, TX Tarrant County · 76108 Post-war stock on prairie ground, where the budget goes further than most people expect.
- Azle, TX Tarrant County · 76020 Lake-edge and rural stock northwest of the city, where the construction type varies more than anywhere else on our list.
- Aledo, TX Parker County · 76008 Acreage and custom builds on stable prairie ground west of the county line.
Eagle Ford clay
Strongly expansive clay east and south of downtown. This is where slab movement telegraphs into tile and where an uncoupling membrane stops being an upgrade and starts being the specification.
- Arlington, TX Tarrant County · 76001 · 76010 · 76013 · 76017 The largest city in our service area and the one where slab movement most often decides the specification.
- Mansfield, TX Tarrant County · 76063 Fast-growing stock on the most expansive ground in the county, where crack isolation is not an upgrade.
- Crowley, TX Tarrant County · 76036 Newer growth on expansive clay, where the preparation line is the difference between the bids.
- Burleson, TX Johnson County · 76028 Johnson County growth on Eagle Ford clay, with a historic core that predates all of it.
Woodbine sand
The Mid-Cities corridor. Sandier and better draining than the Eagle Ford ground to the south, with housing stock concentrated in the 1960s through 1990s.
- Grapevine, TX Tarrant County · 76051 A historic core with real wood subfloors, wrapped in four decades of slab-built suburb.
- Bedford, TX Tarrant County · 76021 · 76022 Mid-Cities stock from the 1970s and 1980s, where the slab is usually the line item that decides the bid.
- Euless, TX Tarrant County · 76039 · 76040 A high-turnover market next to the airport, where the right specification is the one that survives the next tenant.
- Hurst, TX Tarrant County · 76053 · 76054 1960s and 1970s ranch stock, where the best floor in the house is often already there.
- North Richland Hills, TX Tarrant County · 76180 · 76182 The largest of the Mid-Cities, with four decades of stock and a lot of staircases.
- Watauga, TX Tarrant County · 76148 A compact starter-home city where the specification question is which two rooms deserve the better material.
Cross Timbers sand
Sandy loam over the Eastern Cross Timbers in the north of the county. Newer, larger housing stock and a lot of post-tension slabs.
- Keller, TX Tarrant County · 76248 · 76262 Newer master-planned stock on Cross Timbers sand, where nearly every slab is post-tension.
- Southlake, TX Tarrant County · 76092 Large custom homes and long sightlines, where flatness tolerance drives the preparation cost.
- Colleyville, TX Tarrant County · 76034 Larger lots and an ageing custom-home stock where refinishing usually beats replacing.
Trinity terrace
Older river-terrace deposits along the Trinity. Mixed ground and mixed housing ages, often within the same street.
Trinity sand
Out west into Parker County, where the Trinity Group sands take over and pier-and-beam construction persists later than it does in the city.
Somewhere not listed? Ask anyway. A refinishing job runs across weeks rather than days and the crew has to be there every one of them, so there is a distance past which we simply cannot hold the schedule. When you are past it we will tell you, and point you at somebody nearer rather than take the booking and let it slip.
Ready for a floor that survives a Texas year?
We will measure the room, read the slab or open the subfloor, and hand you an estimate that separates material, labour, tear-out and preparation — so you can see what each part of the job actually costs, and so you can compare our bid against anyone else honestly.
